Now that I’m a father
I guess I’ll have to change my ways
I'd better rearrange my days
And be responsible
Now that I'm a father
I guess the future must be planned
No more can living just be random
If that is possible
Conceiving a child was just so easy
It's what fathers do best
The rest
Is dealing with the consequence
When someone calls you daddy
You don’t just need to buy a teddy
You’d better have some answers ready
To all the questions why
I have to say I’m happy
We're going to raise the perfect child
And not the sort that turns out wild
I guess we’ll have to try
The miracle of birth is just a mystery
It’s what mothers do best
The rest
Is coping with the consequence
Now that I’m a father
I’ve got the job for 20 years
From teething tot to teenage tears
So much we’re going through
Now that I'm a father
I think it's gonna to be all right
Let’s hope we get some sleep tonight
There’s such a lot to do
Now that I’m a father
